My partner and i have been very careful not to spread the Herpes Virus. She has Herpes on her mouth so we dont do anything sexually for the time being we dont even kiss. BUT i have taken a pair of panties and put them on in a joking manor and licked them. but knowing she doesn't have genital herpes i felt this was ok. If she does have genital herppes, IS it possible to get the virus that way? I have noticed soars on my testicles and shaft of my penis.

I am going to see a doctor today to get myself checked but to say the least im panicking and needed to ask someone.

You can not transmit the herpes virus in the manner you described above.

If your girlfriend has herpes simplex 1 (oral herpes) there would be no trace of the virus in her underwear. However, if she has an active outbreak (a cold sore) it is possible to transmit the virus to either the mouth (through kissing) or to the genitals (through oral sex).

If she has herpes simplex 2 (genital herpes) and has open sores in the ulcer stage it may be possible to transmit the virus by sharing underwear, but it is very unlikely.

If you have noticed sores on your testicles and on the shaft of your penis you should have these examined by a doctor.
