Hello, my fiancee is 6 months pregnant. Her doctors says that some herpes blisters could be blocking the umbilical cord and thus the fetus is not growing fast and is behind. I am not having the symptoms of herpes, but did have sex with a high risk female. I have had the worst trouble in trying to find a blood test to see if I have genital herpes. I finally recieved two doctors orders for blood test. One would cost $80 and the other would cost $300 - but I doubt either would be covered by my insurance. My partner has Hsv-2. Because of this I have had type specific blood testing to see what my Hsv status is. After being in this relationship for 3 years I am negative for Hsv-2 but the blood tests show me positive for Hsv-1. I am very confused as to whether I will ever know if this is located orally or genitally because I have no symptoms and my entire family has Hsv-1 orally and gets cold sores Help! I have a single bump on the shaft of my penis, the bump never filled with puss, or scabbed, its been about 7 days and its pretty much gone. I experienced none of the side effects. I just got back from vacation when it appeared, I was on a cruise and in the pools with numerous people.
